Food of the Week #3: Eggs

Postby Ugly » Sat Mar 06, 2010 11:20 am

Sorry, I missed a full week of the series and didn't get a chance to post one up last night. Just moved into a new apartment with no Internet connection, but lots of other work to do.

This week will follow another religiously themed food of the week - but it's really more because commercialism is rampant. Walking around, lots of Easter themed products are on the shelves. I see a lot of rabbits everywhere... well... uhm... I might be the only person in this forum that's ever skinned and prepared rabbit meat, so that's a no go. There are also lots and lots of candy eggs on the shelves.

So this week's theme is EGGS. How do you like them cooked? Boiled, poached, scrambled with cheese... or do you like the chocolate Cadbury kind? I personally like mine softboiled so that the yoke is either runny or cooked, but light still shines through. Although... those butterfinger eggs I had last week were mighty tasty.

i like mine hard boiled with a little bit of salt and a lot of pepper. i think i might make egg salad for friday's lunch. love quail eggs more then regular eggs though. and if we make thit kho, gotta have an egg in it.

i never skinned and prepared rabbit but i have watched the whole process. that was the big thing for when we lived in new orleans and grandparents' have our big family dinners.
i will never forget....

i have failed all tasks so far haha
i'm gonna try to get it all done though haha

i like my eggs overeasy, or in ramen noodle where it's still kinda soft. i usually end up overcooking it though, i'm not very good at it

I really like fisheggs, too!

That includes tobiko and tamago... but especially the sacs of eggs sometimes you discover inside a fresh fish... YUMMY
